Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton as heads of negotiating teams in a meeting in Vienna discussed the issues of Vienna-III talks, IRNA reported.

Zarif and Ashton studied the technical and expert report by the experts of the seven countries on the remaining subjects needed to be settled to reach a final deal.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany) held three days of expert talks in Vienna on April 3-5.

Iran and G5+1 was presided by Iranˈs Foreign Ministryˈ Director General for Political Affairs Hamid Baeidinejad and Ashtonˈs Assistant Stephan Clement.

Iran and the Group 5+1 will resume their talks in the Austrian capital on Tuesday morning. The meetings will be presided by Zarif and Ashton while the remaining meetings will be held at the presence of the 7 countries deputy foreign ministers.

Upon his arrival in Vienna, the Iranian foreign minister told reporters that in this round of negotiations, the two sides are determined to discuss all the remaining issues fir exchange of views and summarize the discussions in order to move to the next stage.

The negotiating delegations had voiced optimism about reaching a final agreement within the six-month deadline which is July 21.
