Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has held a meeting with the Deputy Speaker of Israeli Knesset (parliament), Yehiel Hilik Bar and discussed the prospects for intensification of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

The parties pointed out that the visa-free regime between the two countries will facilitate the expansion of relations in economic, tourism and trade spheres, Georgian prime minister's office told Trend on April 8.

Additionally, Garibashvili and Bar emphasized the importance of implementation of the programs on exchange in education and cultural spheres and discussed the prospects for intensification of inter-parliamentary relations.

Garibashvili stressed during the meeting that such visits even more strengthen the friendly and partnership relations, at the level of legislative bodies as well.

Assistant Deputy Speaker of the Knesset, Bostan Doron, Israeli ambassador to Georgia, Yuval Fuchs, First Deputy Speaker of Georgian parliament, Manana Kobakhidze also attended the meeting.
