Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili has met with the advisor to the Euro-Atlantic Council, President of the Atlantic Club Bulgaria, Solomon Passy.

The parties discussed the current issues related to the process of Georgia's integration into NATO and touched upon the formats of Georgia's rapprochement with the alliance and the progress made in this context, as well as the country's prospects regarding the results of the NATO summit to be held in September in the UK.

The parties also touched upon the situation in the region and paid special attention to Russia's activities and the developments in Ukraine.

The meeting was held at the presidential palace with participation of Security Council Secretary, Irina Imerlishvili, head of the presidential administration, Lasha Abashidze and president's adviser on foreign affairs, Vano Machavariani.
