Kemal Kılıcdaroglu, the leader of Turkish opposition Republican People's Party, was attacked by a member of ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), according to the AKP Deputy Head Huseyin Celik.

Celik said Orhan Ovet, who attacked the Turkish opposition leader, was expelled from the ruling party, Turkey's Milliyet newspaper reported on April 9.

Yesterday the leader of Turkish opposition Republican People's Party Kemal Kılıcdaroglu was attacked.

Turkish media outlets reported that Kılıcdaroglu was punched in the face.
