Kazakhstan will strengthen existing and establish new contacts in Latin America and Africa, Kazinform reported on April 11.

As Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrisov said at the "round table" in the city of Almaty it will be a part of a new foreign policy concept which envisage discovery of new regions.

"First of all I mean Latin America and Africa. Kazakhstan ...tries to find new opportunities, and our foreign policy is discovering new geography," Idrisov said.

The Foreign minister recalled that Kazakhstan had opened embassies in Mexico and South African Republic in 2013 and planned to open embassy in Ethiopia in 2014.

Moreover, Kazakhstan will strengthen the Asian vector, because the vector of global development moves in the Asia-Pacific region, Idrisov said.

"We will develop our good relationships with Asian countries and enhance the quality of our relations in the Asian vector," Yerlan Idrisov said.
