An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale jolted the town of Parsian in Hormozgan province, Southern Iran, on Sunday night, Mehr agency reported.
Accordint to the information, the quake was registered at 02:39 local time.
Iran sits astride several major faults in the earthˈs crust, and is prone to frequent earthquakes, many of which have been devastating.
