Tbilisi, Georgia, April 17

By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:

Radio Georgia's staff and journalists were urgently evacuated from its central office on April 17 due to a fire.

Seven fire brigades urgently arrived at the incident site. Strong smoke made it hard to fight the fire.

Temur Giorgadze, Chief of Tbilisi's Emergency Situations Service, told Trend that firefighters managed to contain the fire in 15 minutes, and now the fire is extinguished.

The cause of the fire is yet unknown.

Experts are working at the incident site, while the radio station has resumed its broadcasting.
