Azerbaijani ships transport cargos between Baku, Turkmenbashi and other ports of the Caspian Sea without any problems.

Azerbaijani Caspian Shipping Company told Trend on April 21 that all cargo transportations between the ports, including transportations by tankers, are conducted in line with the existing agreements.

The transport sector of Azerbaijan delivered 49.2 million tons of cargos in January-March, 2014.

This figure is 1.5 percent more than the figure for the same period of 2013.

The volume of non-oil cargos grew throughout this period by 5.7 percent, reaching 33.7 million tons. The remaining part accounted for oil cargos.

The maritime transport delivered 2.4 million tons of cargos in the first quarter of 2014 versus 3.2 million tons in January-March, 2013.

All transported cargos accounted for international operations. The volume of cargos handled at Azerbaijani ports in January-March, 2014 was 3.1 million tons.
