Georgia can achieve a visa-free regime with the EU member states by 2016, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Tamar Beruchashvili told media on April 29.

She stressed that the issue refers to the short-term visas from 90 to 180 days.

"This regime will allow Georgian citizens to travel to the Schengen zone countries without a visa.

The visa-free regime has been recently introduced between the EU and Moldova.
