Climbing World Cup will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, on May 3-4, 2014 where 150 sportsmen from 22 countries compete, the Azerbaijani Air and Extreme Sports Federation (FAIREX) said on May 1.

The sportsmen from around the world will compete in the disciplines of the complexity (bouldering) and speed in two-day international competition.

The holding of Climbing World Cup in Baku Boulevard, near the National Flag Square creates all necessary conditions for watching of competition by spectators.

It should be noted, that the activity work of Air and Extreme Sports Federation of Azerbaijan (FAIREX) and popularization of such kind of sport was highly appreciated by International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC). The IFSC Climbing World Cup was held in Azerbaijan on June 22-23, 2013 for the first time.

The competition is held by joint organization of Air and Extreme Sports Federation of Azerbaijan (FAIREX) and the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC).
