Around 10,000 delegates will arrive in Astana, the Kazakh capital, to participate in the seventh Astana Economic Forum (AEF) and the World Anti-Crisis Conference (WAC) to be held on May 21-23 in Astana, the event's organizational committee said on May 3.

The seventh AEF is a major economic and investment event in Kazakhstan. It draws the participants' attention to the modern international challenges and pushes them to work out recommendations for the UN member states and international organizations.

On a regional scale, the forum ensures the exchange of views of international experts on social and economic development of Kazakhstan as well as the working out of corresponding proposals.

The AEF stands out with its fundamental expert base; all the events of the forum are focused on the social, economic and financial issues.

The AEF and WAC are largely devoted to the development of recommendations on the current challenges to the world economy and confronting the global risks.

The main topic of the forum's agenda will be the "Risk management in an era of changes in the format of G-Global".

The forum's program includes 70 events with the participation of more than 100 co-organizers, including more than 50 international organizations, foreign embassies in Kazakhstan and NGOs, 20 business organizations and national companies of Kazakhstan, 15 research institutes, as well as 15 governmental bodies of the republic.

The 2nd World Anti-Crisis Conference will be held at the 7th Astana Economic Forum with the support of the UN General Assembly this year.

The conference is the final part of the International Anti-Crisis project conducted on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Bretton Woods agreements. The main result of this conference will be the approval of the concept of the global anti-crisis plan at the level of ministers and heads of central banks of the UN Member States.

Today more than 7,000 delegates from 144 countries, including one vice-president, five deputy prime ministers, 111 ministers and heads of central banks, heads of 50 international organizations, 11 Nobel laureates and more than 1,000 representatives of large businesses have already confirmed their participation in the 7th AEF and 2nd WAC.

In total, the 7th AEF and 2nd WAC will be attended by about 10,000 delegates from 150 countries.
