The president's congratulatory letter reads:
Dear Mr. President,
On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I sincerely congratulate you and through you all the people of your country on the national holiday of the State of Israel, the Independence Day.
I do hope that the relations of friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel will continue to expand in the interests of our peoples.
On this remarkable day I wish you robust health and every success in your activities, and peace and prosperity to the friendly people of your country.
