Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili had a working lunch with Turkish President Abdullah Gul.

The prime minister's press service said that the parties mulled the bilateral relations and prospects for deepening cooperation.

During the working lunch Garibashvili said that Georgia attaches great importance to deepening cooperation with Turkey - the country he sees as a reliable ally and strategic partner.

At the same time, the PM said he is satisfied with ongoing mutual visits.

The meeting also focused on the issues regarding economic cooperation.

It was noted that Turkey is the number one trading partner of Georgia.

The parties also expressed hope that Georgia will be able to present new opportunities.

Co-investment and agriculture funds have been created with this aim.
