The dome of a church under construction in Akhalsopeli village of Georgian Khelvachauri district (Adjara) has collapsed killing two people.
The corpse of one of them has been pulled out from the rubble by the rescuers.
Georgian Interior Ministry's Emergency Management Department told Trend that there were only four people under the rubble.
Two of the injured were taken to a hospital.
The village's residents were working in the construction of the church.
Chairman of the Adjara Autonomous Republic's Government Archil Habadze and Chairman of the Adjara Autonomous Republic's Supreme Council Avtandil Beridze, as well as representatives of local authorities and the clergy have arrived at the incident site.
