Exercises will be held for the Coast Guard representatives of the Border Police of the Georgian Interior Ministry on the American frigate Taylor in Batumi Port on May 9.

"The purpose is to strengthen the cooperation with partners and allies of the U.S in the field of security," U.S. Ambassador Richard Norland told the media.

"We have good relations with Georgia," the diplomat added.

This is the third arrival of the frigate USS Taylor.

"The repeated entering of Georgia's territorial waters is an important part of the Georgian-American relations and strategic partnership," Norland said.

U.S. navy frigate Taylor will leave the territorial waters of Georgia on May 10.
