Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kemaleddin Heydarov has met with a Georgian delegation led by the country's Interior Minister Alexander Chikaidze, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations said on May 16.
The meeting was held at the North-West Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Heydarov briefed the guest about the work carried out in the sphere of preventing emergency situations and elimination of their consequences, as well as the activities of the ministry's structures.
Georgian interior minister, for his part, stressed the significance of further intensifying and developing the cooperation between the corresponding structures of Azerbaijan and Georgia.
During the meeting, the two parties exchanged views on the issues of mutual interest.
