People who will not be able to arrive at the poling stations to vote in the presidential and the European Parliament elections on Sunday may vote in advance on Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in any municipality, ELTA reported.

This time voters will receive two ballot papers to elect the president and members of the European Parliament. There are two contenders in the run-off voting round of the presidential election - current President Dalia Grybauskaite and the social democratic nominee Zigmantas Balcytis.

In the European Election ballot votes are cast for the whole list of candidates. 10 political parties participate in the EP election and each has nominated 19-22 candidates. This year Lithuania has been allocated 11 seats in the European Parliament.

In the first round of the presidential election 152,952 people voted by post. Of them, 61,271 voted in advance in municipalities, 14,709 in special posts, 76,812 at home and 106 on missions stationed abroad.
