Turkey's Labor and Social Security Minister, Faruk Celik has been taken to a hospital, Turkish Sabah newspaper said on May 23.
Reportedly, the minister suffered a gastrointestinal tract problem and was put into a hospital.
Minister Celik has also undergone surgery.
Previously, he was harshly criticized for the fact that he did not immediately go to Manisa Province after there was an explosion at the mine in Soma.
Some oppositional forces even demanded Celik's resignation.
Celik explained his immediate absence at the accident site was because of health problems.
A mine explosion took place the city of Soma in Manisa Province on May 13, killing 301 and injuring 486.
