The leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei warned that enemies are seeking to provoke war among Muslims.

"The policy of the enemies of Islam is to provoke fratricide and foment civil war in Muslim countries, among Islamic societies and within the Islamic Ummah (Islamic world)," he said on June 3, Iran's official IRNA news agency reported.

"Then they stand aside to watch how we are fighting against each other," Iran's leader explained.

"The biggest problem facing Muslims is that they're not aware of plots being hatched by their enemies,"

Ayatollah Khamenei went on to note that even some of the Muslims countries are cooperating with "evil foreign states", especially Israel.

Iran's leader made the remarks at an international Qur'an competition in the capital Tehran.
