Baku, Azerbaijan, June 3

By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend:

The Turkish Airlines has cancelled the flights to Libya's Benghazi city, Turkish Anadolu agency reported on June 3.

All flights of the airlines have been cancelled till June 15 due to the increased number of terrorist attacks in Benghazi.

Earlier, Turkey's Foreign Ministry urged the country's citizens not to travel to Libya.

Moreover, Turkey closed its consulate in the Libyan city of Benghazi due to the unstable situation there.

Libya has been plunged into numerous internecine conflicts with the participation of representatives of the various tribes after the uprising in 2011 and the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi, who ruled the country for 40 years.

The armed groups are operating throughout Libya. They have an absolute impact on the local population, impose their own laws and control the key facilities in some regions.
