Turkey's Ankara city is hosting the high-level Turkmen-Turkish negotiations as part of the official visit of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Turkey, a message from the Turkmen government said on June 3.

The president's visit will last till June 5.

The agenda of the negotiations includes the actively discussed projects on the further development of Turkmenistan's fuel and energy complex and diversification of export routes of the Turkmen gas, the message said.

The Turkmen-Turkish business forum is being held in Ankara today on June 3, according to the government message.

"All this points to the most favorable prospects for the further dynamic development of the mutually beneficial partnership between Turkmenistan and Turkey that successfully develops almost in all key spheres, primarily, in trade, economic, fuel and energy, transport and communications fields," a message from the Turkmen government said.

The visit program of the Turkmen president also envisages participation at the upcoming fourth Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States in Bodrum, to which Berdimuhamedov has been invited as a guest of honor.

Turkmenistan is a key player in the gas market of the Caspian Sea and Central Asian regions.

Turkmenistan's resources can be delivered to the European markets through the Caspian Sea by constructing a 300-kilometer long pipeline along the sea bottom to the coast of Azerbaijan.

Afterwards the Turkmen fuel can be sent to Turkey which has a common border with European countries.
