Azerbaijani gymnast Jala Piriyeva, who won silver in the exercises with the hoop among the juniors at the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships in Baku, said she will continue to train hard.

She did not win any medals in other disciplines.

"The busy schedule of performing compositions affected the general result," Piriyeva said in a brief interview with Trend.

"I was last who performed with the clubs and several minutes later I was already performing with a ribbon," she said, adding that it happened to her for the fist time.

Piriyeva said there were no specific reasons for why she failed to capture more medals.

"There are no other reasons of my failure to gain more medals," she said. "It just didn't happen, but that's fine, I will continue to train hard for better results."

The 30th Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships is being held in the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.

Some 258 gymnasts from 33 countries have been competing for nine sets of awards in the tournament that is being held in Baku for the third time. The championship is scheduled to wrap up today on June 15.
