Tbilisi, Georgia, June 17
By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:
The Tbilisi mayor candidate from the Georgian Dream ruling coalition David Narmania got 46.11 percent of votes at 98 percent of polling stations, according to the Georgian Central Election Commission.
Thus, he could not overcome the 50 percent + 1 vote barrier, so presumably re-election will be held on June 28.
The candidate from the opposition "United National Movement" Nika Melia, who got 27.7 percent of votes, will be his rival.
Four people ran for the Tbilisi mayor post.
