Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that if the P5+1 group of countries takes the talks seriously enough, it will be possible to reach a final agreement.

He made the remarks at a joint press conference with New Zealand's Foreign Minister Murry McCully in Tehran.

"If the other side shows goodwill in the upcoming talks, it will be possible to reach a final agreement by July 20," Iran's Fars news agency quoted Zarif as saying on June 22.

"But it is necessary for the other party to show strong resolve and earnestness like we had in the past month," he explained.

"Some negotiators in the other side stick to their previous positions during the talks," Zarif said, adding that if the two sides fail to reach an agreement, Tehran will also go back to its previous policies.

He went on to add that Tehran wants nothing more than its legal rights.

McCully, for his part, welcomed Iran's constructive engagement with the P5+1, expressing hope for the expansion of economic ties between Tehran and Wellington once Iran's nuclear talks end with a comprehensive solution.
