Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that no obstacle can hinder his country's relations with neighboring Kyrgyzstan.

"Closer ties in the fields of economy, culture, tourism, and science will benefit both Tehran and Bishkek," Rouhani said, Iran's ISNA News Agency reported on June 23.

Rouhani made the remarks at a ceremony dedicated to accepting the Letter of credence of Kyrgyzstan's new ambassador to Tehran, Osman Aliyev.

"Connecting the two countries railways, as well as roads and air routes will help the two countries boost their bilateral ties," Rouhani said.

Osman Aliyev, for his part, said that his country welcomes expanding ties with Iran, as a world power.

He went on to note that Bishkek wants to increase its trade with Tehran.
