Daniar Mukhtarov - Trend:

Kazakh government should start bringing order to the country's bazaars and markets, according to an instruction given by Prime Minister Karim Massimov to the First Deputy Prime Minister, Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

Massimov gave this instruction at the first congress of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs (NCE) on June 25.

"The markets and bazaars are a legacy of the 90s, which we got when we had a trade deficit. We did not have an alternative at the time. I believe that in general we need to consider and discuss the issue, then make appropriate decision at a government meeting, in order to bring order and to move trade to a civilized path," the prime minister said.

Major fires have occurred in recent years in the markets of Almaty and Astana.

The NCE first congress brought together 300 participants, including the representatives of regional councils and chambers of entrepreneurs, industry associations, government agencies, public union and the business community.
