The Board of Directors of the Caspian Energy International Media Group held a session dedicated to the outcomes of the first half of 2014. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Caspian Energy International Media Group, Telman Aliyev spoke about the work that was carried out in the first half of the year and offered certain proposals regarding the change of the structure and strategy of the Caspian Energy International Media Group.

Edition of several journals and operation of a number of internet-websites functioning on basis of the Caspian Energy International Media Group was stopped in 2013 and in the first half of 2014 due to financial difficulties, T.Aliyev said. It is mainly associated with the growth of editions created and financed by state and private companies of Azerbaijan and the lack of additional sources of financing in Caspian Energy except for advertising and subscription. In order to withstand the competition in the Media market T.Aliyev offered to combine Caspian Ecology, Alternative Energy, Baltic Energy, Caspian Energy Industry journals within the Caspian Energy journal which has a broad readership in 50 countries of the world.

Besides, in order to attract companies of the non-oil sector, it was offered to combine Caspian Energy Construction, Caspian Energy Telecom, Caspian Energy Travel (Salam Azerbaijan), Caspian Energy Agroindustry, Caspian Energy Motors (AutoClub), Caspian Energy Finance (Financial journal), Caspian Energy Transport, Caspian Energy Sport, SoccerFunClub journals, the Large Business newspaper and other projects into a single journal that will be called CEO. The CEO trade mark has belonged to the Caspian Energy International Media Group since 2008.

The CEO journal will be spread alongside with the Caspian Energy journal; be available for readers and subscribers of the Caspian Energy journal; excel in more flexible pricing policy for advertisers of the non-oil sector.

The frequency of publication of the Caspian Energy journal has been changed as well. From now on the Caspian Energy journal will be published 10 times a year (instead of 6). The first issue of the CEO journal will be released in August and dedicated to the preparation for the First European Olympic Games.

Supported by the Caspian European Club and Caspian Energy International Media Group, the editorial staff of the CEO journal will annually hold the ceremony of presentation of the International Prize CEO Award.

Apart from this, it was decided to unite Caspian Energy Investor, Caspian Energy Ambassador, FirstClass weeklies and ALTRENERGY agency within the Caspian Energy News agency.

Besides, the Caspian Energy Rating agency, Caspian Energy Design, analytical group Caspian Energy Analytics, Caspian Energy Research Group and other units also joined the Caspian Energy Marketing agency.

Caspian Energy Photo agency united Caspian Energy Pictures and the internet portal Pics.az.

Caspian Energy TV which is being broadcasted only in offline mode via internet for now continues operating in a test mode.

The schedule of conduction of the International Caspian Energy Forum in 2014 and 2015 was approved at the session. According to the approved schedule, the next forum will be held in Tbilisi on November 14, 2014. Baku (March), Istanbul (July), Athens (October) and Bucharest (December) will host the International Caspian Energy Forum in 2015.

The forums will run only one day. The first half will cover issues and prospects of development of the oil sector while the second half will cover the non-oil sector. An official ceremony of presentation of the International prize Caspian Energy Award (used to be called Caspian Energy Integration Award) will be organized in the evening of the same day.

At the same time, made at the session was a decision to unite Brand Award Azerbaijan, Brand Award Kazakhstan, Brand Award Russia, Brand Award Europe and Caspian Brand Award projects into a single project to be called an International Prize Brand Award which will be awarded annually by the Caspian European Club and Caspian Energy International Media Group in December. The fifth jubilee ceremony of presentation of the International Prize Brand Award will be held this year.
