An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale was recorded in Kyrgyzstan on July 8, Kazakhstan's Seismological Expedition of the Science Committee under Education and Science Ministry reported.
The earthquake occurred at 7:39 a.m. local time (1:39 a.m. Greenwich time), 203 kilometers to the south-east of the city of Almaty.
There is no information about victims or damage.
