The candidate from the ruling 'Georgian Dream' coalition, David Narmania is confident of winning in the second round of the municipal elections in Georgia.

"Today is a very important day in Georgia; the country is holding the second round of the democratic elections. I am confident that the election process will be successfully completed and the Georgian people will elect mayors on their free will," he told reporters at the Saburtalo polling station after the voting.

"The choice will be made in favor of the force that has saved the country and cares about the welfare of the people," Narmania stressed.

The candidate from the 'Georgian Dream' coalition, David Narmania and the candidate of the oppositional 'United National Movement' party, Nika Melia compete in the second round of elections for the post of Tbilisi mayor.

Moreover, the mayors of seven more cities, and 13 heads of local administration will also be elected.
