Some 15.09 percent of voters have today voted in the second round of the municipal elections in Georgia as of 12:00 (local time), Georgian CEC told reporters on July 12.

Some 14.7 percent of voters have taken part in the elections in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, as of the mentioned time.

The maximal voter turnout was recorded in Khoni (West Georgia) with 28.4 percent, while the minimal level was observed in Batumi with 10.7 percent.

The candidate from the 'Georgian Dream' coalition, David Narmania and the candidate of the oppositional 'United National Movement' party, Nika Melia compete in the second round of elections for the post of Tbilisi mayor.

Narmania and Melia gathered about 46.2 percent and 27.2 percent of votes respectively, in the first round of the municipal elections held on June 15.

The municipal elections are being held in eight cities and 13 administrative regions of Georgia.
