Kazakhstan filmmaking group led by General Producer Dauren Mussa started shooting a new Kazakhstan movie called All The World At Your Feet. This is the first movie in the history of Kazakhstan cinema to be shown at the world screens, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the filmmakers as saying at the press-conference.
Armand Assante has been invited to take part in the movie. He will also be the movie's co-producer. Besides, Japanese actor Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (famous for roles in Memoirs of a Geisha, Pearl Harbor and Hachiko: A Dog's Story) and Chinese movie-star Bolo Yeung will also act in the movie. The producer did not hide the reasons behind inviting these stars. According to him, it will be easier to sell the movie.
Filmmakers are seriously planning to assert themselves in the world, that is why the movie will be shot and dubbed in four languages: Kazakh, Russian, English and Chinese. The movie will be dubbed in Hollywood. Right now the shooting is in process in one of Almaty hotels, the group will head to Aktau and the further route will go via Moscow area and will finish in Hollywood.
Meanwhile, despite of its large scope, the movie is shot by one of the youngest filmmakers Salamat Mukhammed Ali. He will have a budget of $30 million and meet producer's expectations. "We have been preparing for special effects for a long time. I have been doing this for 22 years. I have taken the camera when I was 13 and I'm still making movies. I am very pleased with my production group," Mukhammed Ali said.
Foreign actors are giving very warm feedbacks about Kazakhstan production. "When I read the script I immediately understood that the movie will be excellent," Assante said. Armand Assante was the one who insisted on Kazakhstan actress Karlygash Mykhametzhanova to play the main role in the movie. According to Assante, he was impressed with her play in Egor Konchalovsky's Return to A.
In the movie Mukhametzhanova will play the lead character named Aliya who will be a prototype of the Soviet hero Aliya Moldagulova. "There is a lot of drama in her life. She is a real fighter. This is Aliya Moldagulova but in a modern world," the actress said. Another lead character will be played by a famous stunt man and an actor Nurlan Altayev. He said that the filmmaker has been preparing him for this drama for 7 years.
The gangster drama is sceduled to hit the screens next spring. According to the producer, this will be a unique response to the scandalous Borat movie. "Hollywood has been dominating in the cinema industry for too long, now it is time for high-quality movies," Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa said.
