Satellite "KazSat-3" will be launched in late 2013, head of the Kazakh National Space Agency Talgat Musabayev said on Monday.

"Launch of the "KazSat-3" satellite is scheduled for late 2013. By completing work to create our satellite, we will not depend not on some foreign operators," Musabayev said speaking today at the Majilis of the Parliament.

He said at present flight tests are carried out on board systems of communications broadcasting satellite "KazSat-2", launched on July 16, 2011 from the "Baikonur" space launching site.

As Musabayev said, testing of "KazSat-2" on orbit will take 95 days from its launch, that is, testing of all systems of the spacecraft will be competed on Oct. 19, 2011. Then about a month will be needed for the legalization of transfer of satellite from the manufacturer to the customer. In November 2011, "KazSat-2" will be transferred to our Kazakh satellite communications center," he said.
