The first deputy chairman of the Kazakhstan's ruling "Nur Otan" party Nurlan Nigmatulin made comments on the events in Zhanaozen and condemned "the criminal actions of rioters".

"Those who made riots and arson in the streets and squares in Zhanaozen violated law. And we strongly condemn all illegal and criminal actions, alien and unacceptable to our society," - said in a comment.

"Peace, stability and unity are the fundamental values on which the dynamic development of Kazakhstan based. And we all, regardless of the national, religion, party affiliation, regardless of political affiliation, must appreciate and protect these values," - Nigmatullin concluded.

13 people died and 86 were injured Friday in riots in the city of Zhanaozen. On Friday President Nursultan Nazarbayev imposed emergency rule in the city.

Hooligans set fire to the train in Shetpe station in Kazakhstan, which left 11 people injured, one killed on Saturday.
