Georgian Prime Minister Nicolas Gilauri is expected to visit Astana in May, the Georgian ambassador to Kazakhstan Paata Kalandadze told Trend.
"The head of the Georgian government Nicolas Gilauri will arrive in Astana in May at the invitation of his Kazakh counterpart Karim Massimov," the ambassador said.
The meeting of the two Prime Ministers will be held as part of the forthcoming Astana Economic Forum.
Kalandadze said that the meeting of the government heads of both countries will be preceded by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazazarbayev's visit to Tbilisi, to be held before the end of this year.
"The dates of the president's visit to Tbilisi are being clarified through diplomatic channels," the Georgian diplomat said. "The issues of further expansion and intensification of cooperation between the two countries will be considered at the highest level."
