The Astana Economic Forum to be held in late May in Kazakh capital will discuss President Nursultan Nazarbayev's idea directed at way out of the global crisis, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kazykhanov said on Monday.
"The Astana Economic Forum will discuss the president's idea "G-global" - on way out of the global crisis," Kazykhanov said speaking at the government hour in Majilis.
In December 2011, President Nazarbayev said the G-20 and G-8 formats, within which global anti-crisis plan has not been yet discussed, demonstrate ineffectiveness. He proposed to "radically expand the number of participants to seek anti-crisis solutions for the world". Nazarbayev proposed to call a new platform "Project G-Global". The President then suggested that the Astana Economic Forum may be a platform for it.
