An international forum on Eurasian culture in the new world which aims to strengthen cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the CIS countries will be held in Astana on June 15, the Ministry of Information and Culture of Kazakhstan said.
The Forum, initiated by Kazakhstan, is aimed at the spiritual and values surrounding the cultural consolidation of artistic and humanitarian community of the CIS, provision of the development of Eurasian unity in cultural diversity, spiritual interaction between the people of the Commonwealth as being an important factor of deepening integration.
In addition it should provide the strengthening of cultural cooperation, intercultural dialogue and tolerance in the Eurasian area, the formation of the optimal models of cooperation in the implementation of cultural policies between line ministries and cultural and spiritual rapprochement of the people of the CIS.
The Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan and the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS (IFESCCO) are the organisers.
The Forum will be attended by ministers of culture and creativity of the delegations and humanitarian community of the CIS countries, heads of IFESCCO and international organisations, members of the Kazakh Parliament, heads of diplomatic missions, government agencies, national cultural institutions, and prominent figures of culture and arts of Kazakhstan.
It is planned that the following delegates will attend: chairman of IFESCCO Polad Bul-Bul oglu, deputy chairman of CIS Executive Committee Toktasyn Buzubayev, the Russian president's special representative for international cultural cooperation, co-chairman of the IFESCCO board Mikhail Shvydkoi, Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan and a member of the Permanent Council of TURKSOY Abulfaz Garayev , first deputy Culture Minister Gheorghe Postica, executive director Armen Smbatyan IFESCCO, rector of the All-Russian state Institute of Cinematography Vladimir Malyshev, director of the Russian Museum of Ethnography, Vladimir Grusman, People's Artist of Russia Sergey Solovyov, the rector of the Belarusian State Academy of Music Catherine Doulova, president of the Russian Producers Guild Renat Davletyarov , a film producer and director Faiziev Janik, People's Artist of Uzbekistan Farrukh Zakirov and othersю
The 'Culture of Kazakhstan: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow' exhibition will be held within the framework of the forum at the atrium of the Palace of Peace and Accord.
It is planned that the forum will appeal to heads of state, academic and artistic community of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
