Azerbaijan, Baku, July 10 / Trend E. Kosolapova/
The ideology of consumption, which has been distributed widely since the 1960s of the 20th century is one of the main causes of the global crisis, Kazakh president Nursultan Nazarbayev believes.
"Today the whole world is acutely convinced that this ideology of consumption was destructive. It has provoked massive social dependence in the developed countries and become one of the main causes of the global crisis," Nazarbayev said in the article "Kazakhstan's social modernization: Twenty steps to the society of common labor," which was published by Kazinform on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, according to the President, there is alternative of this false idea, which can not be realized not only worldwide, but even in some developed countries.
"The idea of the society of common labor will become this alternative. Ultimately, all the values of the world civilization, all the economic and cultural wealth were created not by virtual financial institutions but by human labor. Therefore, real productive work is a thing which should be put in the foundation of our social modernization policy," Nazarbayev said.
According to the President, a labor as a decisive national factor in the context of global competition in the 21th century should be highlighted and this idea is widely supported by the Kazakh society.
