New head appointed to Kazakhstan’s Atyrau region

Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev appointed Baktykozha Izmukhambetov to the post of the head of Atyrau region, Kazinform reported.

Earlier Izmukhambetov served as Vice-Speaker of the Majilis (Kazakh Parliament's lower chamber).

The former head of Atyrau region Bergey Ryskaliev was dismissed from this post by presidential decree for health reasons.
