Law enforcement bodies eliminated five terrorists in one of the houses in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan on Friday, Kazakh Prosecutor General's Office reports.
"On Aug.17, law enforcement bodies established persons suspected of involvement in terrorist activities in a house in suburban area "Tan" in Almaty region," the Prosecutor General's Office said.
They displaced armed resistance when they were detained. An officer of special forces was wounded.
In this regard, an operation was announced to neutralize the terrorists. Residents of nearby houses were evacuated.
Five criminals were eliminated as a result of the special operation.
A criminal case has been filed. A crime scene is examined and other urgent investigation measures are taken.
No victims and survivors are reported among the population.
