Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev appointed new Minister of Labour and Social Protection, presidential press-service reported.
"To appoint Serik Abdenov to the post of Kazakhstan's Labour and Social Protection Minister," the presidential decree says.
Abdenov replaces Gulshara Abdykalikova in this post.
Abdenov has served as Deputy Head of East Kazakhstan region till Sept.26.
