The tenth conference of the Eurasian Media Forum (EAMF) - the annual meeting of leading journalists, politicians, opinion leaders and media experts from around the world will be held on October 11-12 in Astana, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said.
"The tenth Eurasian Media Forum, as always focuses on the main events in the world and how they reflect in the world media. Specifically, the Arab Spring and its consequences, the failure of multicultural policy in Europe, the increasing role of Internet technologies in the development of political processes and the role of the media in contemporary society will be discussed," the ministry said.
More than 450 delegates from more than 40 countries are expected to participate at the event.
The Eurasian Media Forum is an international, non-political organisation founded in Kazakhstan in 2001. The purpose is to promote cooperation between East and West.
