Kazakh delegation discussed cooperation with Japanese companies in energy sphere
within the visit to Japan, Kazakh Industry and New technologies Ministry reported on Monday.
In particular, Kazakh delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Industry and New Technologies Minister, Aset Isekeshev met with representatives of the Japanese New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan Atomic Power Company (JAPC).
At the meeting with representatives of the JICA, the parties discussed the agreements reached at the Fourth Meeting of the Foreign Ministers' Dialogue "Central Asia + Japan" in Tokyo, plans of the JICA to strengthen technical cooperation aimed at disasters prevention in Kazakhstan, and Kazakhstan's participation in the Japanese governmental program Science and Technology Cooperation on Global Issues (SATREPS).
During the meeting with the JAPC representatives, the parties expressed interest for mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy sector.
Within the talks with the NEDO representatives, the parties discussed technologies for thermocouples and solar cells production, green economy and energy saving technologies, technology for next-generation batteries production, water purification technologies and technologies for production of light-emitting diode lamps.
