A group of Kazakh citizens plans to send an open letter concerning detention of two Kazakh students following terrorist act in Boston to US President Barack Obama.
"We, the undersigned, citizens of Kazakhstan, bring our deep condolence to American people thereupon tragic doings that have taken place on the 15th of April in Boston at traditional marathon when a bomb explosion caused death of 3 people and 260 people were wounded," the letter says.
The 65 citizens who undersigned the letter said they all were against any kind of extremism and we never supported terrorism.
"We are citizens of a state willing and supporting peace, friendship and cooperation," the letter says.
The US charges two citizens of Kazakhstan - students Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbayev, who were classmates of Dzhokhar Zarnayev - a person prosecuted in participation in the act of terrorism in Boston "in impeding investigation".
"We demand of unbiased and just legal proceedings concerning two citizens of Kazakhstan. These Rights are set in all international documents including UN International Covenant on civil and political rights ratified by the USA. We are seeking for implementation of international human rights commitments by the US Government," the letter says.
According to the letter, the US mass media release provocative information concerning the case.
"That is why we demand from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and from the United States Attorney General the official explanations on this case as far as citizens of Kazakhstan express their concern. We demand keeping Human Rights and render proper legal rights defense," Kazakh citizens said.
Dual bombings at the Boston Marathon killed three spectators and wounded more than 250 others on April 15.
