The harvest is underway in Kazakhstan's southern, western and eastern regions, the press service of Agriculture Ministry of Kazakhstan said on Tuesday.
At present, the country's agricultural producers have harvested from 704,500 hectares which accounts for 30.2 per cent of the collected areas.
'The harvest continues in the southern, western and eastern regions of Kazakhstan. Some 1,160 million tons have been harvested and the average productivity was 16.5 centners per hectare', the ministry's report said.
However, according to the ministry, the abundant summer rainfalls and lack of good temperature has led to delays in ripening the crops.
