Today six bilateral documents were signed at the meeting of the Kazakh-Chinese Business Council, a staff correspondent of Trend reported from Astana.
The Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Fund Umirzak Shukeyev and Chairman of the Board of Directors of CITIC corporation Chang Zhenmin signed the agreement on the implementation of the so-called "Investment map", which includes implementation of joint projects with China in Kazakhstan for a total of $22 billion.
They also signed an agreement on intent on cooperation between the JSC National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna and CITIC Group Corporation.
"Today, the spheres such as energy, development of logistics are the main spheres of investments, but not raw materials market. We aim at building the infrastructure, construction of new roads in Kazakhstan," Chang Zhenmin told journalists after the ceremony of signing.
In turn, Umirzak Shukeyev underscored that in the last period Kazakh-Chinese business relations have been in a very active phase of cooperation.
"We attach great significance to partnership with the Chinese companies. The implemented investment cooperation of the JSC NWF Samruk-Kazyna with Chinese companies reached serious scales. Today the projects implemented in Kazakhstan already reach $15 billion. They are large and principal, and significant for Kazakh companies," Shukeyev said.
