A trial run of oil will start at Kashagan oil and gas field on September 9, the statement was made while signing an agreement on the transfer of KazMunaiGas's share to the Chinese National Corporation CNPC on Saturday, Trend correspondent reported in the capital of Kazakhstan.

The heads of two oil and gas companies of Kazakhstan and China signed an agreement for the sale of KazMunaiGas's share in Kashagan project in Astana on Saturday.

The document was signed at the Palace of Independence within the meeting of the Kazakh-Chinese Business Council.

Moreover, the strategic cooperation program was signed between the two companies.
Kashagan is a large oil and gas field in Kazakhstan, located in the north of the Caspian Sea. Its geological reserves are estimated at 4.8 billion tons of oil. The total oil reserves amount to 38 billion barrels or 6 billion tons, some 10 billion out of them are recoverable reserves.
