The Kazakh-Afghan Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation held the 6th session in Kabul on September 16-17, the Central Communications Service for the Kazakh President reported on Tuesday.
"The promising spheres of cooperation for 2014 such as civil service, education, transport, agriculture, standardization, ore mining industry and emergency situations were discussed," the Central Communication Service reported.
The parties also discussed implementation of the Protocol of the 5th meeting of the Commission. The meeting participants noted that almost all decisions made within the 5th meeting have been fulfilled.
At the end of the session, the Protocol of the 6th meeting of the Commission was signed. The seventh meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 2014 in Kazakhstan.
The commission is chaired by Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Bozhko from the Kazakh side and Commerce and Industries Minister Anwar ul-Haq Ahadi from the Afghan side.
Representatives of a number of Kazakh ministries, Agency for Civil Service Affairs, Chamber of Industry and Commerce and biggest Kazakh companies took part in the meeting. The Afghan side was represented by members of ministries, national power company and deputy governors of several provinces.
Within the visit to Kabul the head of the Kazakh delegation also met with Afghan Vice-President Karim Halili.
