Kazakhstan intends to expand the network of stations monitoring Kazakh part of the Caspian Sea and area of Aktau seaport, representative of the Republican State Enterprise "Kazgidromet" of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Kazakhstan Zauresh Abdieva said during the video bridge Astana-Moscow-Baku on Friday.

"We intend to expand our network of stations. It is about 6 more new stations of hydrometeorology and environmental monitoring of the Caspian Sea. For now it is just plans, however we submitted a budget request," she said.

The representative of Kazgidromet reminded that Kazakhstan developed a State program to conduct hydrometeorological and environmental monitorings of Kazakhstan Caspian shelf, which began in 2005.

"Currently we raise a question on expanding the territory and points of data selection. We publish all the results in the annual bulletin," Abdieva said.
