Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov discussed cooperation with his Russian and Kyrgyz counterparts Dmitry Medvedev and Zhantoro Satybaldiev on the sidelines of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council's meeting in Astana, Kazakh Prime Minister's press-service said.

Kazakh and Russian Prime Ministers noted that the bilateral relations between the two countries are successful and are dynamically developing.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on a wide range of topical issues of trade and economic cooperation. In particular, Akhmetov and Medvedev discussed the implementation of joint projects in the field of transport and energy and interaction within the Customs Union.

Meanwhile, Kazakh and Kyrgyz Prime Ministers discussed further strengthening of the bilateral relations in trade, economic and investment relations, transit and transport sector, water and energy, fuel and cross-border cooperation.

Akhmetov noted that trade and economic turnover between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan exceeded $1 billion.

Satybaldiev in turn, called for development of partnership which "has a great opportunity for the successful implementation of intergovernmental agreements".
