Kazakh Oil and Gas company KazMunaiGas signed a memorandum on cooperation with French Vallourec & Mannesmann Tube company, the Kazakh company reported on Thursday.
The document was signed by KazMunaiGas' Deputy Chairman of the Board for Geology and Promising Projects Kurmangazi Iskaziev and a member of the Board of Directors and Director for Strategic Projects of Vallourec & Mannesmann Tubes Pierre Frenzel.
Vallourec & Mannesmann Tubes is part of the Vallourec Group, a world market leader in the manufacture of seamless hot rolled steel tubes for all applications. The Vallourec Group operates factories in Europe, Brazil, the USA and China and plans to launch production in Kazakhstan.
The memorandum envisages bilateral intention in exploring the construction of a pipe-threading plant specializing in the production of high-quality pipes in Kazakhstan.
This projects part of a program to increase interaction between the governments of the two countries in technology and attracting industrial investment to Kazakhstan
